Huntington to Bowdoin Regarding the Insurgency

In this letter the Governor of Connecticut, Samuel Huntington, congratulates Massachusetts Governor James Bowdoin on the outcome of the incident at the Springfield Arsenal. Huntington also assures Bowdoin that Connecticut will apprehend any insurgents and will prevent them from reassembling, should they try. Samuel Huntington signed the Declaration of Independence, served as president of the Continental Congress from 1779 through 1781, and was elected Governor of Connecticut in 1786.
