Testimony of William Lyman

Fired on [smudge] that is all we want
by God said Wheeler we I told him
then he would have it --
as Gen Shepard was hosted not only by
the Authority of this State but by
Congress and that the Post would
be defended at all Hazard
they turn ordered march on march
and came on briskly we rode to
Gen Shepard and reported he then
ordered Maj Stevens to fire the
Guns but to let the Two first[?] be
elevated above them at which ~
discharde they made the appearance
of a Brisk Charge and to display their
Column the Artillery was then
ordered to be pointed at them

is a true Representation of the Transaction therein
