Clemency Petition from Henry McCulloch to James Bowdoin

of Gratitude and will make it his most zealous Endeavour
by his future good conduct to make all the atonement in his
Power for his past Crimes, but if a Pardon can not be granted
him and his life must be taken away, Your Petitioner humbly
supplicates that he may have a longer Time to prepare for
his awful Doom –
And as in Duty bound shall pray

of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
We the subscribers humbly petition the Prayer of the
foregoing Henry McCulloch may be taken into Consideration
and granted so far as may be consistent with good order
order of Government and that he may be pardoned or
the Time of his Execution lengthened as shall be most
consistent &c -
