Verdict for Job Shattuck

with force and arms to falsify and traitorously assemble and join the subscribers a-
gainst this Commonwealth & the Laws and Government of the same, as established
by the Constitution and form of Government as aforesaid, and then and there
with force and arms as aforesaid did falsely and traitorously array and dispose them-
selves against the Commonwealth aforesaid and the due Administration of the Justice
in the same according to the Law and authority of the same, and then & there with
force and arms as aforesaid in pursuance of such their wicked and traitorous in-
tentions & purposes aforesaid did falsely and traitorously prepare, order, wage and
levy war a public and cruel war against the Commonwealth aforesaid, & then and
there with force and arms as aforesaid falsely and traitorously did assault, im-
prison, captivate, plunder, destroy, kill and murder divers of the Leige Subjects
of the said Commonwealth in the peace of the said Commonwealth being &
lawfully and in the duty of their allegiance to the said Commonwealth, de-
fending the same from traitorous attacks as aforesaid, all which is against
the duty of their allegiance, in evil example to offend in the manner again^st
the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth aforesaid and law of the same in
such case made and provided

Middlesex ss May term at Concord by adjournments AD 1787 the said
Job Shattuck and Oliver Parker are arraingned at the bar, and have this Indict-
ment read to them & they severally say that thereof they are not guilty & thererof
for trial severally put themselves on God and the Country Jno Tucker Cler-

And now in this present term before the Court here come the said Job Shattuck
& Oliver Parker under the custody of the Sherriff of the said County, and being
set to the barr here in their proper persons, & forthwith being demanded con-
cerning the promises on the Indictment above specified and charged upon them
how they will acquit themselves thereof, they severally say, that thereof ^ they are not suilty and thereof for
trial
